By using Folium you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the launcher.

License

Folium is free for personal use. You may install and run it on computers you own. Redistribution is not allowed.

Purchases, coins and refunds

Coin purchases are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. The amount, price and currency are displayed before you confirm the order. Coins and cosmetics are digital items for use with Folium; they have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, and may only be used through the Folium account and features for which they were purchased.

All purchases are final. Folium does not offer refunds, cancellations or exchanges for coins or cosmetics, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right that cannot legally be waived. Closing or suspending an account does not create a right to a refund or cash value, except where required by law.

If a purchase is not credited to your account, contact Folium support with your purchase ID so we can investigate delivery. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

Folium cosmetics

Cosmetic items made for Folium, including their models, textures, artwork, and designs, are owned by Folium unless an item is clearly identified as third-party content. Buying, unlocking, or equipping a cosmetic does not transfer ownership; it gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use that item through Folium. You may not resell or redistribute Folium cosmetic assets. User-created and third-party content remains owned by its respective creator and may be subject to separate terms.

Minecraft and accounts

Folium uses official Microsoft authentication and never sees your password. Minecraft is governed by Mojang's and Microsoft's own agreements. Folium is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Third-party content

Folium can install mods and packs from sources like Modrinth and CurseForge. That content belongs to its authors and is subject to their licenses. We do not create or vet it.

Acceptable use

Do not use Folium to break the law, access accounts you do not own, distribute malware, or bypass Minecraft's protections.

Social features and custom cloaks

Do not use Folium social features to harass, threaten, or target others, or to share illegal content. Custom cloaks must not be offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful.

If we confirm that an account has violated these rules, we reserve the right to suspend that account's access to social features or custom cloak services. We may remove or reset a custom cloak that violates these rules.

No warranty

Folium is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will always work, be error-free, or be compatible with every mod or setup. You use it at your own risk.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use Folium after a change means you accept the new terms.

The short version

Folium stores the account and service data needed to provide online features. We do not sell your personal data. Your launcher settings, instances and installed content remain on your computer.

Your Minecraft account

You sign in through Microsoft's official login. Folium never sees or stores your password. The login gives the launcher a token so it can start the game as you. That token and your profile are stored locally so you do not have to sign in every time, and signing out removes them.

What is stored on your computer

Your instances, settings, installed mods and login session live in Folium's data folder on your machine. Folium does not upload these anywhere. Chat history is stored on Folium's servers so it can follow your account between the launcher and game; it is removed automatically after 14 days.

Third-party services

Folium contacts these services only for the feature you are using. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Microsoft and Xbox Live: sign-in and the token that launches Minecraft as you.
• Mojang and Minecraft: account checks, game downloads and version files.
• Modrinth: searched when you browse or install content.
• CurseForge: also available for content, through a proxy that only forwards your query.
• Cloudflare: delivers launcher assets and updates, with standard request logs.
• Cosmetics: Folium stores the cosmetics your account owns and wears. Other players can look up the live cosmetics worn by a Minecraft account and download their artwork so the items appear in game.
• Friends and chats: Folium stores friend and block lists, messaging preferences, and chat messages (including sender and recipient account IDs and message timestamps) to synchronize conversations between your launcher and game. Chat messages are automatically deleted after 14 days. If you submit a message in a report, the reported copy and evidence are handled as part of that report.
• Discord: receives rich presence updates locally if Discord is running. If you link Discord in launcher settings, Folium stores your Discord account ID, username and avatar image identifier with your Folium account on Cloudflare so the launcher can show which account is linked. The launcher loads the avatar from Discord's CDN. Unlinking removes the profile and active account pairing; minimal reward records may retain the Discord ID to prevent repeat payouts. The OAuth callback page does not display your username or avatar.
• Crash reports: when you choose to send one, the launcher includes the crash log, Minecraft and launcher versions, exit code, and your PC's operating system, CPU model, GPU model, processor architecture and installed RAM amount. These details help us diagnose crashes; no hardware serial number is collected.

No ads or tracking

Folium shows no ads and includes no third-party tracking or analytics. We do not build a profile of you.

Changes

We may update this policy. Continuing to use Folium after a change means you accept the updated policy.
